WHY CAMPOBASSO?
Molise is ideal for immersion because:

OUR DAYS
Day 1 - Tuesday 29 June
Welcome to Molise! It is recommended you arrive at the bus or train station in Campobasso where you will be met and accompanied to your bed and breakfast, situated in the Centro Storico (Old Murat Town). In the evening we will all take a walk with our guide Patrizia around the historic centre up to the Castel Monforte to become familiar with the area, and she will tell us stories about Campobasso and it’s history. Tonight you will be able to walk around and discover Campobasso freely after we enjoy a quick aperitivo to kick start your Italian holiday. (breakfast & aperitivo inc)
Day 2 -Wednesday 30 June
Cheese & Honey Making Farm Day-
Today we will head to a small town in Molise called Monacilioni to meet Michela and her family who run a farm where they make their own ‘everything’ including delicious cheese typical of the Molise region, salumi, bread, and vino. We will also enjoy a degustation of everything they produce. For dinner we will head to a local restaurant that has been running for over 30 years and serve typical dishes from Molise. (breakfast, light lunch & dinner incl.)
Day 3 - Thursday 1st July
Truffle Experience Day-
Today we will spend a few hours on a truffle farm hunting for truffles with Vincenzo & his adorable dog and enjoying a tasting afterwards. We will arrive around 10am, sip a welcome coffee and chat truffles. We’ll then head off for a guided excursion in the woods. We will then return to the farm to see the truffle processing laboratory & have a tour of the Truffle Museum. Lastly we will have a full tasting of fresh truffles collected during the excursion, accompanied by local wines.

Day 4 - Friday 2nd July
Olive Oil Farm Day -
On our last day we will head to a town just 20 minutes from the Adriatic Sea where we will enjoy a guided visit of an olive grove farm that boasts 3 pretty lakes and a beautiful masseria, owned and run by Donna Marina, the daughter of a family of nobles, popes, saints and politicians. We will view and learn how the mill and the bottling process works, and then enjoy a degustation of the many different oil types produced on the farm, the eating of olives and some pate`.

Day 5 - Saturday 3rd July
Today we end our Italian journey with some slow paced paese hopping. We will visit two small paesi - Oratino and Civitacampomarano. There are no plans other than to bump into locals, chat, take a drink or coffee at the local bar and a nibble for lunch.
After lunch we will head back home for a rest before heading out to enjoy some aperitivo bar hopping and a late night pizza. The only way to end our Italian summer holiday!
