My name is Tania Pietracatella. I was born in Perth, Western Australia. My parents are Italian immigrants who owned very successful Italian restaurants in Perth while I was growing up. At the age of 12 I took my first flight to Italy to visit family, and ever since that trip I began returning every year. I have a profound love for my Italian heritage and culture. I married my partner who is from my fathers hometown and we lived in Italy before returning to Perth to to have our children. We continue to return each year with the children to visit our family.

In 2006 I completed my Certificate of Italian Teaching Methodology at the University of Notre Dame. I have also completed further Advanced Italian language units at the UWA, along with a Diploma in Applied Language Studies at Central TAFE. On receiving a scholarship I was able to study at the Universita` Per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy.

I have a TRWBA full teacher registration and a working with children check and have been teaching Italian since 2002 in various primary schools, private tutoring, and now my very own school. Whilst living in Italy I was very lucky to find a job teaching the English language.

Classes at The Little Italian School are of no more than 12 students. Small classes leave less time for wasting and more time for learning. I am a very dedicated teacher with a very good reputation. Teaching the Italian language and culture is what I love to do... with all of my heart!

The beautiful contemporary Italian farmhouse style surroundings will make you feel just like you're in Italy. I take great pride and joy in teaching the Italian language and culture and my classes are always well prepared, organised, fun and engaging. Being owner operated, I am able to keep the course costs at a very affordable price. Small classes leave less time for wasting and more time for learning!
