WHY CAMPOBASSO?

Molise is ideal for immersion because:

- Arrive as a guest - leave as a family
- Very little English is spoken
- There is a slower, authentic pace of life…this means we get to afternoon nap
- Cafes, markets, and daily interactions with businesses owned and run by locals
- Not a tourist in sight

-You’ll meet Italy through people - not museums

-No rushing, no bus schedule, no ticking boxes..just simple Italian living

-You are welcome to ‘hang’ out with us and our friends in the evenings for an aperitivo and ‘be Italian’ for a week!

Explanation of the days – 9am -2.30pm

9am meet at the local bar each morning to order breakfast. Head to our retreat (home). Italian language tuition, cooking together, conversations about Italian culture and more until 1pm with breaks. Tuition includes grammar, conversation, real life events like going to the markets, or supermarket. We will also take a stroll and visit Castel Monforte, I Misteri di Campoabsso and Villa De Capoa, and chat about their history.

Walk to our friend Andrea’s local restaurant who serves typical dishes from the Molise region for lunch at 1pm until around 2.30pm

Home for a rest. Evenings are spent however you prefer. Campobasso is small and you will become familiar with the streets & locals in no time. We would love to have an aperitivo with you at a local bar and even if not planned we will no doubt bump in to each other in true Italian style anyway.

When possible we visit local homes or go on outings. We will be as spontaneous as possible to allow for the true Italian warmth and vibe everyone loves.

Extra –

If you are wanting to spend some extra time in Italy we can arrange to help you with some travel tips to visit places bordering Molise like Puglia, Campania, Lazio, Abruzzo
